STEPware for eyewear with STEPvoice is a highly directional remote signal pickup system that has been specifically optimized to suit hands-free voice pickup applications such as eyewear. It uses the vector characteristics of signals to find and capture the clear and clean voice while ignoring the noisy portion of those signals. When used in voice communication applications, the resulting speech output signal is comfortable to hear, clearly understandable and more intelligible to the listener. When used for voice command and control and in Automatic Speech Recognition applications, STEPware for eyewear increases word recognition rates and delivers near-perfect performance. In addition, “clean” signals minimize signal bandwidth requirements and maximizing channel capacity for telecom carriers. This software is currently available on CSR BlueCore™ 03-MM™and BlueCore™ 05-MM based systems. STEPvoice provides crystal-clear and reliable voice input for people and machines; namely, for speech communications and for voice recognition applications.
